We are excited to offer organic table grapes from Peru in our Awe Sum Organics label for delivery in market all winter long. Sweet, crisp and flavorful, Awe Sum Organics’ Peruvian Table Grapes offer our customers a full and reliable supply of high-quality organic table grapes for loading on both coasts during the winter months when organic fruit options are limited. Awe Sum Organics begins the winter organic grape season with grapes from Northern Peru and finishes the season with our Southern Peruvian grape production. This allows for a steady four-month supply from mid-December through early-April. Our growers’ organic vineyards in Northern and Southern Peru combine to provide a full supply of high-quality red, green and black organic seedless grapes (all IFGTM varieties) as well as our Awe Sum Red Globe grapes (with seeds and available at much lower pricing than our seedless varieties for value conscious organic consumers).
Both of our growers use our patented method for improving bud break in table grapes that is 100% organically approved by the USDA’s NOP and they also use our cutting edge of BioFlora Organic fertilization program for organic table grapes.
As published in PMA's Organic Produce Update on July 2, 2020, 12 weeks ending 5/17/20 organic grapes year-over-year were up 125.3%. Organic grapes had the highest volume growth, outperforming any top 10 organic fruit or vegetable.
We are also excited to offer our new crop Organic Kiwifruit. One of nature's most perfect and nutrient rich foods. Our Organic Green and Gold Kiwifruit are sourced from top growers in both the Southern and Northern Hemispheres to ensure a year-round supply. Our Kiwifruit are always harvested at the ideal time for peak flavor and perfect ripening. Brix levels and dry matter content are carefully monitored throughout the growing season and fruit is not harvested until the balance between the two are just right.
Awe Sum Organics Chilean blueberries are bursting with sweet flavor and a hint of tartness your taste buds will love. Awe Sum Organics Blueberries offer exceptional taste and quality. These delicious and nutritious berries are grown in the most Northern part of Region IX, in the southern part of the Central Valley of Chile surrounded by volcanoes. The deep rich, volcanic and unusually fertile soil together with the optimal climate are perfect for organic blueberry production. The most Northern part of Region IX experiences little rain during growing and harvest seasons, ensuring strong fruit and a reliable and bountiful supply. This area produces some of the most Awe Sum blueberries available during that time. Our Awe Sum Organic Chilean blueberries are 100% Duke variety and available in market from late December through early February. The Duke variety retains fresh quality and are known for their mildly tart and delicious flavor. This variety has large berry size and is very firm.
